Fresh Lobster in Rincon P.R. - Lobster Tour

Private Lobster Trips on the west coast of Puerto Rico

Lobster Dinner - Fresh Seafood - Snorkeling - Spiney Lobsters - Charters - Rincon

Our private Lobster Trips offer a great way to get on the reef for a few hours. Catching Caribbean spiny lobster with a lasso is a fun and sustainable way to harvest these delicious crustaceans while snorkeling or free diving in warm, clear waters off Puerto Rico. Unlike their clawed cousins, spiny lobsters hide in rocky crevices and coral ledges, especially during the day. To catch one, you’ll need a lobster lasso or snare, a looped tool designed to gently secure the lobster without harm. Spot the lobster’s antennae poking out from a crevice, approach calmly to avoid spooking it, then position the lasso behind its tail and tighten with a smooth pull. Once secured, carefully remove it from its hiding spot

What to expect on our Snorkeling Trips for Lobsters.

Coral Reefs and Lobster Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico is home to a diverse range of reef ecosystems—fringing reefs, barrier reefs, and patch reefs—each playing a crucial role in supporting marine life, including the Caribbean spiny lobster. Fringing reefs, found along the island’s coastlines, provide shallow rocky crevices where juvenile lobsters find shelter and protection from predators. Barrier reefs, located farther offshore, offer expansive structures ideal for adult lobsters to forage and hide during the day, emerging at night to feed. Patch reefs, scattered across sandy bottoms in lagoons and bays, serve as important transition zones for lobsters moving between habitats. These reef systems not only offer essential shelter but also abundant food sources, such as small mollusks and decaying organic matter. Protecting and understanding Puerto Rico’s reef diversity is key to maintaining healthy spiny lobster populations and supporting sustainable fishing practices across the island.

Fresh Lobster in Rincon, Aguadilla, and Cabo Rojo.

Having trouble finding fresh Lobster for sale on your vacation to Puerto Rico and Rincon. You are not alone!

The Caribbean spiny lobsters around Puerto Rico are a true delicacy—sweet, tender, and packed with ocean flavor, without the large claws of its northern cousin but with just as much appeal. Found along Puerto Rico’s beach communities like Aguada, Aguadilla, Rincon, and Boqueron these lobsters are perfect for a simple, delicious meal. One easy recipe is to split the tail, brush it with garlic-lime butter, and grill it for 4–6 minutes until the meat is opaque and slightly charred. Squeeze fresh lime on top and serve with rice or plantains for a tropical feast. Catching your own spiny lobster, rather than buying it, not only adds a rewarding sense of adventure and connection to your food but also ensures it’s fresh, local, and sustainably harvested. Plus, you avoid the markup and uncertainty of imported seafood—making your meal better for your wallet, the ocean, and your taste buds.
